Containment

If you have an emergency at hand, the first order of business is the containment of the problem. It is the owner's responsibility to make sure that, once hazardous waste is detected, appropriate steps are taken for the containment of hazardous waste. Jim Knight Drain Oil Company will come out to the site and contain the waste in the most appropriate manner until arrangements for disposal are made.

Notification

Certain kinds of spills require an immediate notification of state, federal and local authorities. Jim Knight Drain Oil Company will take over these functions for you. If we determine that notification is mandated, we will handle all aspects of that notification from initial phone calls to on-site coordination.

Identification

A lot depends on identifying the exact material that needs to be disposed of. Improper identification can lead to unnecessary expenses and legal costs. Jim Knight Drain Oil Company will, through its affiliated laboratories, identify the hazardous substance and provide you with the most economically sensible manner for its disposal.

Transportation

Jim Knight Drain Oil Co. is fully licensed, and insured by the state of California. Jim Knight Drain Oil Co. uses only state approved disposal facilities.

Reporting

No job is finished until the paperwork is done. Hazardous waste requires a virtual mountain of reporting and disclosing documents. To the utmost extent allowable by law, Jim Knight Drain Oil Company will provide you with the mandatory reports that comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Insurance coordination

You may have insurance that provides coverage for the incident. Our experienced legal staff will walk you through your insurance coverage issues and will assist you in making sure that your "out of the pocket" cost of waste containment is kept to a minimum.
